Summary

Some assets from a cosplay I did for a friend of mine. Came out pretty good all things considered! Remember to size up the helmet in armorsmith or something similar to make sure it fits your head!

I'd recommend doing the same.</p></div>

Post-Printing

The visor situation

            <div><p>I provided a punch for the visor. I ended up not using it, and instead followed the instructions from the following video: <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjNCjk2_paE">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjNCjk2_paE</a></p><p>TLDW: I used painters tape to get a general size for my visor, cut it out of thin transparent plastic, then applied reflective window tint. I held the visor in place using hot glue simply because it was forgiving if something broke.</p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>The Ear holes</strong></p>            <div><p>I provided a version with and without holes for the ears. I used a simple bit of breathable fabric (used from a ruined workout shirt) to make it easier for my friend to hear. This is optional but highly recommended.</p><p>Simply put the fabric in between the helmet and the ear covers. </p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>Padding</strong></p>            <div><p>Not really a good or bad way to do this. I used some leftover foam from a previous project. Just stick a bunch in until it fits right. I recommend hot glue as it will allow you to remove it easily should something go wrong.</p></div>

How I Designed This

Stole the model off models resource (it's made directly from the Sonicman model from Sonic 06), measured it for my head, then printed it.
