Record Cleaning Machine for Ultrasonic Cleaner
A device to rotate records in an Ultrasonic cleaning machine so they can be cleaned. The mounts are designed to work with a cheap reduction drive electric motor (I got mine from ebay) and incorporates holes for power (plug or wire) and a switch. Includes the main motor mount, cover for electrics and switch and opposing mount.
Required to complete the build:
- Electric Motor (I used a 12v 0.6RPM motor and I run it on 5v to run it slow for 3 revolutions in 7 mins). Motor has a 6mm shaft but this is not critical as you can adjust the mount to suit. The hole pattern is 18mm width and 33mm height
- A way to mount the rotating shaft to the motor (I use a machined bayonet mount)
- Power plug
- Switch
- Shaft and associated hardware (I will provide some record clamps but these are not tested. Just copies of my PVC and Aluminium versions). I used 1/4" aluminium rod on my machine.
I printed in PETG on my standard settings (5 walls, 38% infill), feel free to experiment. I can't imagine the tolerances are too critical.
