Updated 2/21/15 Shapeoko 2 Dust Shoe

This dust shoe attaches to the X axis gantry instead of the spindle or spindle mount. This allows the spindle to move in the Z axis without raising or lowering the dust shoe. It attaches to the back side of the X axis gantry in the slot hole that is unused. I used a bolt and wing nut. I wanted a shoe that did not require any mods to my Shapeoko 2 or the spindle mount. It will print on a 6" x 9" (150 x 250 mm) printer bed (Flashforge or Original Makerbot or clones) The shoe bottom and hose adapter snap into the shoe on mine so no glue was required. The mount was super glued on. The hose adapter fits a standard shop vac hose.

I have included another version of the mount part that has a relief cut into it to allow clearance for a nut so you can put a nut on the mounting bolt so you do not need any tools when using wing nuts

I have also included the obj file so if anyone needs or wants to make changes to the Dust Shoe. The file can be edited in most 3d graphics programs like Blender.
