Sheath for Staedtler Mars Micro 775 Mechanical Pencil

I wanted to have a 0.5mm mechanical pencil on my tool belt and have it easily retrievable.

This little sheath will protect the pencil, make it easy to pullout and put back when in use.
The model is a bit simple...but it doesn't need to be complicated.
The clip sits within a recess in the sheath body. I used crazy glue to bond the parts together.

My Staedtler Mars Micro's rubber finger grip section is a bit worn. So I had to play with the scale to allow the pencil to slide in with a bit of resistance. If your pencil is brand new you might have to reduce the scale by 1-2% so the fitment is tighter.

If you want to test fitment only print the end of the sheath. Cut the sheath in your preferred slicer 1in / 25mm so you just get the end...and adjust the scale to suit you pencil. Then apply that scale to the sheath and clip so you get the right fit.

I printed the sheath with the open end on the build plate and the clip laying on it's long side as pictured.
