Summary

8" prop (max) mini-quad frame
This is an initial version, unfinished and untested but partially assembled, small quadcopter frame built around an 8" prop size. Placement of ESCs, radio receiver and other components will likely need additional tie-down spots - this design will continue to be refined.

I suggest printing with 0.2mm layer thickness max, 4 shells to strengthen the walls and screw holes, and 30% infill to make everything more rigid. The design was made with a 0.4mm nozzle diameter in mind (Makerbot Replicator 2).

Assembly does assume a particular order - the arms attach under the base and the feet attach below the arms, in effect sandwiching the arms between the base and feet, providing a more rigid connection.

If you use the top frame you will want to get M3 standoffs in your favorite material (I used Aluminum). All holes are set for M3 machine screws but you may need to drill the holes out to reduce stress on the plastic. The holes are countersunk specifically for flat-head M3's so they sit flush to the surface and to provide additional holding power against the plastic. I suggest getting M3 nylon lock-nuts to hold everything together.
