3/8 LP Chainsaw chain depth raker gauge tool
Quick sketch-up I did moreso as a proof of concept since its suppose to be made of metal. Works to check, file, then check again.
Gauge thickness=1.2mm (at minimum the print needs to come out to +-1.00mm, but will give a slightly more aggressive angle)
This can be used to set the raker/cut depth after sharpening the cutter teeth. Should work for the majority of 3/8 LP .050 (not full) chains [if you measure from the raker to the center of the first rivet following it, should be around 8-9mm max to be sure].
Maintains around a 6 degree avg cutting angle through the lifespan of the chain. This is generally the angle used for hardwood cutting.
Notes:
In the picture it is upside down. It is easier to be used the other way.
Rest the tool on the rivet not the strap.
