Jeff the land shark

It was removed the interior of the head to reduce the wasted material;

Divided him into three parts to reduce waste on supports;

The holes in the parts and body were covered, so it would be able to print them apart;

Tiny holes in the body, head, tail and fin, and “pillars” to act as connectors, were created;

Also created a base to put Jeff on. The base is a cylinder and has the shark’s name engraved. This base also has holes, four of them, so it would be able to connect Jeff’s body on it;

The modifications reduced the waste on supports by almost 49%. Going from 43g to 21g.

Print settings

The printer used is the Creality Ender 6;

The chosen material is PETG;

The temperature of the nozzle and the base of the printer tested was respectively 245º C and 85º C;

The speed tested was 45 mm/s.

Foram cobertos os buracos do corpo e das partes, para ser possível a impressão individual de cada parte;

Pequenos buracos no corpo, cabeça, cauda e barbatana, e “pilares” para servir como conectores, foram criados;

Também foi criada uma base para colocar o Jeff. A base é um cilindro e tem o nome do tubarão gravado. Essa base também tem furos, quatro deles, para poder conectar o corpo do Jeff à base;

As modificações reduziram o gasto com suportes em aproximadamente 49%. Indo de 43g para 21g.

Configurações de impressão

A impressora utilizada foi a Creality Ender 6;

O material escolhido foi o PETG;

A temperatura do bico e da mesa de impressão foram respectivamente 245º C 85º C;

A velocidade testada foi de 45 mm/s.
