Addon Poop Chute for Qidi Tech Plus 4 Printers

Although there is already a very nicely designed (far prettier than mine) poop chute available here, I decided to go ahead and make my own because I wanted something for one, MY OWN, and for two, with an open top. When the Plus 4 poops, it poops little spring shaped doodles of filament that are especially grabby. If they don't grab onto the chute itself, they for sure will grab onto each other. All it takes is one to not slide all the way into the bin, and there it is just waiting for another to make an ever growing pile. Put this effect inside a tube and you got it - a clog waiting to happen. Now you gotta get in there and pull them all out since you didn't know it was happening until they started just ending up all over the floor, or worse, backing up inside the machine. Enter this Thing: This one has an open top so you can see it happening and rake it downward easily BEFORE it takes over the world.

Included are two versions:
One with a downward angle the same as the other prettier version I mentioned above.
One with a steeper angle.

Which you choose will depend on how you want to set things up, and how you want to have to print the chute in the first place. The less steep one easily prints sideways or even front ways on the Plus 4 bed. No need to get weird with it. Just print it laying down in natural position and set it off. The steeper one needs to be printed at a 45 degree angle in order to fit the bed, otherwise same thing. Lay it down naturally and set it printing, easy as that. Ideally the steeper one will NOT clog up over time due to the steeper angle of descent, but as yet I have not tested this so I'm just making an educated guess. I just printed one as a replacement for my first version, so when I get the thing installed I'll update this with my findings.

The less steep one has an included trash bin with a taller height to accommodate the higher end of the chute. The steeper one has a shorter bin to accommodate the less high end of that particular bin. I made them purposely wide so as that if need be, the chute side can hang off a ledge a bit like mine does (has to) with my own setup. Both bins can hold A LOT of little plastic sprigs. You won't need to come back to empty the thing for quite a while.

There are no hard and fast printing rules for these, just don't screw em up and you'll be fine. I favor PETG for mine because it's a bit naturally slippery, so the waste is a bit less likely to get stuck in the first place. These chutes mount by removing four screws from the back of the machine where the waste exit is, then fit the chute over the holes and screw it down into them. Faces to the left side of the machine ONLY. Don't try to reverse it, lol, it won't work.

As with all things Qidi Plus 4, enjoy, have fun, and may the 3d printing gods be kinder to you than they have recently been to me. Good luck, soldiers!
