Harbor Freight US General spring latch blocker-offer

I have a US General 5-drawer "Mechanics Cart" next to my electronics bench and it's great, but I do not need/want the drawers to latch shut. It's juuuusssst wide enough that I can't reach the far latches without having to scoot over to reach it, and that annoys me.

Unfortunately, Harbor Freight rivets in the latches, so just unscrewing them isn't an option. Plus, if they're totally disabled, the drawers rest sticking out a little, which is also annoying.

So, I made this little latch blocker. I put a small notch in it to barely catch the drawer latch...just enough to keep it fully shut, but not deep enough that you have to manually pull the latch back with your finger.
