2025 Bumper Inspection Tool

This is a simple tool to help verify bumpers are in accordance with the rules for the2025 FRC game Reefscape

This print already accounts for the .25" margin allowed by the rules so if something is longer or shorter than the measurement on the tool, it is outside of the rules.

One of the inside legs is 4.25 inches, this is the minimum backer height and also the maximum distance from the frame perimeter.

The other leg is 5.5 inches long and can be used to measure the minimum height for the top of the bumpers.

The end of one leg is 2.75 inches and is the highest the bottom of the bumpers is allowed to be.

The end of the other leg is 1.5 inches and is the maximum allowed gap between bumper segments. If that leg of the tool fits between bumper segments, the bumper segments are too far apart.

It can also be used to measure 2" padding depth and 2" minimum padding at the corners. 1.5" extension of hard parts from the frame perimeter. 3.5" minimum number height and 0.5" minimum stroke with. Generally these don't need to be measured because most bumpers can be identified as compliant by sight. I would only expect these measurements if it looks like it might be a problem.
