A low-profile dust-collection boot designed for deep cuts and easy bit changes. It uses eight 60×10mm Neodymium bar magnets for a quick-release mechanism, plus a 4″ hose port for dust extraction.

Materials

• Printed Parts:
• Spindle Mount & Vacuum Tube in PETG
• Bristle Boot in TPU

Hardware:

• (8) 60×10mm Neodymium bar magnets
• (4) M4×20mm screws + washers (for the spindle mount)
• (2) M3×8mm screws (to attach the vacuum tube)
• 4″ hose + worm-drive clamp
• 100mm CNC vacuum brush cut to 46.2cm
• Silicone adhesive (for attaching the bristles)

Printing & Assembly

• Print the Mount and Tube in PETG.
  • Pause to insert magnets at the indicated layers.
• Print the Bristle Boot in TPU.
  • Securely embed magnets if they are also used in the boot.
• Attach the Spindle Mount to the underside of the spindle using (4) M4×20mm screws with washers.
• Fasten the Vacuum Tube to the Mount using (2) M3×8mm screws.
• Clamp the 4″ Hose to the Vacuum Tube with a worm-drive clamp.
  Cut the Vacuum Brush to 46.2cm and attach it around the TPU boot with silicone.
  This setup keeps dust under control without sacrificing clearance for deep milling operations. Enjoy a cleaner workspace and hassle-free bit changes!
