XPS Foam Pusher

The XPS foam pusher is an innovative tool that makes right-angled cutting of XPS foam and Styrofoam (EPS) child's play! It was developed by Michael Martin from the YouTube channel ’Tabletop Workshop’ (TWS) specifically for use with hot wire cutters such as the Proxxon Thermocut and initially released as an MDF kit. Together with Michael Martin, I have now created this 3D model, in a 40mm and 60mm height variant, for free download for all tabletop fans and terrain builders.

With the XPS foam pusher, you can effortlessly cut awkward XPS foam or Styrofoam blocks at right angles: To do this, simply place the block in the L-shaped tool to cut a first straight side with your hot wire cutter. Then turn the block anti-clockwise so that the straight side now rests on the slats of the tool. Then make the second cut - this is now automatically made at a right angle to the first. If all sides of the block are to be cut at right angles to each other, only two more turns and cuts are necessary.

In addition, the XPS foam pusher is also extremely practical when cutting bricks. The right-angled hard foam rods can be easily placed on the slats of the tool in order to cut them precisely at right angles.
