Tellermine fuse 43

The tellermine 43 fuse was the primary fuse used with the tellermine 43.
How the fuse works is that an engineer would insert a detonator in the bottom of the fuse, and thread the fuse into the center hole of the tellermine. The engineer would then screw the mushroom plate onto the mine. During the final turn, the center of the fuse would press inside itself and a pin inside the body of the fuse would snap, arming the mine. The mine would now detonate one of two ways: It would explode normally if a vehicle or tank were to roll over it (the head would press down, snapping the large shear pin and activating the percussion cap); or if another person were to unscrew the mushroom plate, the head would rise from the body, relieving tension on the ball bearings inside the body and also detonating the mine. Meaning there was no way to safely disarm a tellermine if one was found, even if it was not boobytrapped. The fuse would be shipped in a cardboard box of 6 and without detonators.
