Pi Deck Handheld

Here is a little project that I have been working on over the past couple of months. This project is still a work in process and many things can be improved on, but this is a raspberry pi 5 handheld that can do pretty much basic tasks. Below are the items that I used:

5 inch touchscreen https://a.co/d/7oIBjJ5
Raspberry pi 5
Geekworm x1203 https://a.co/d/4wwvDE2
10,000mah battery https://a.co/d/7sruMir
Amazon Basic Usb hub https://a.co/d/gGCGmIo
Usb C extension https://a.co/d/i2B13ze
Rii 518bt keyboard https://a.co/d/7TZR0tY
M2.5 threaded inserts https://a.co/d/68JHFfs
M2.5 x 4mm screws https://a.co/d/8pWuQOy
XH 2.54mm JST https://a.co/d/iOF6p5a

A couple of quick notes in building this.
For the battery you will need to replace the JST connector that is on there with the XH2.54mm connector as that is the connector that is accepted by the x1203 UPS. (Always double check the polarity of the battery and UPS!)
The housing for both the Amazon Basic Usb hub and also the Rii 518bt will need to be disassembled so that it can fit into the case.
Rii 518bt mini battery that comes with it will need to be desoldered as it will be connected to the raspberry pi instead. (Make sure to connect/pair the keyboard to the raspberry pi before assembling everything. Once assembled you will not have access to the pair button)
The usb c extension cable plastic housing will need to be cut and removed as trying to the plug it in as is will interfere with the keyboard.
The display ribbon cable is very fragile so be careful when manuvering between the parts, I already managed to destroy one by bending it too much but had a spare.
