Green Tools Tech Multi dibbler adjustable spacer

This is a 3D printable spacer that fits on the Multi Dibbler by green Tools Tech.

A radio antenna makes it adjustable so that it ranges from ~15 cm up to ~75 cm.
Please note: this design si specific for this telescopic antenna.

Important notes
1) The objects contain some M3 and M4 nuts emedded during the printing. To realize this I used the "pause-at-high" plugin in Cura. Below you can find what nuts are required for each part.
2) Some parts need to be printed with supports.

Bill of Materials (for one spacer):

  • 1 x this 75 mm telescopic antenna;
  • 2 x M4 x 40 mm head socket screws (full thread);
  • 3 x (M3 x 16 mm) screws
  • 1 x (M3 x 12 mm) screw
  • 1 x (M3 x 6 mm) screw
  • 5 x M3 nuts
  • 1 x M3 small washer
  • 4 x M4 nuts
  • 1 x~180 mm metal chain with oval/round links. The minimum inner diameter of each link is 5 mm.

Plastic parts:

  • socket basement: this part fits into one of the metallic cones of the dibbler and can be maintained inserted all the time;
  • antenna holder bottom: this part accomodates the antenna and joins with the socket basement thanks to 2 M4 screws. It can be removoed quite easily when the spacer is not needed;
  • antenna holder cap: this is the top of the antenna holder and must be screwed to that permanentely with 3 M3 screws. You do not need to unscsrew it unless if you want to replace the antenna;
  • chain holder: a small piece that fits on the last segment of the antenna;
  • chain holder cap: a cap that joins with the chain holder to clamp the antenna end.

Embedded nuts:

  • socket basement --> 2 x M4 nuts
  • antenna holder bottom --> 2 x M4 nuts & 3 x M3 nuts
  • chain holder --> 2 x M3 nuts

A possible improvement would be to add some caps on the M4 screw heads, in order to avoid using a screwdriver during the installation.
