Simple camera slider with adjustable rotation

This simple device allows to move camera linearly and also allows to make a rotational movement.
Very useful to make a cool overview of an object.

As a base I used aluminum extrusion - 2 beams 1515mm, 2mm thick and a corner 1515mm 2mm thick.
You can use any length, but grater length - slower maximum rotation speed.
In my case I used 500mm as optimum solution for me.
Additionally you will need:

  • m5 threaded stud, 2 pieces 120+mm
  • m3 threaded stud, 1 piece 65mm (bearing fixation)
  • 4 685 bearings for rollers
  • 1 6906 bearing for rotation
  • 4 18mm countersunk m3 screws for rotating platrform
  • 4 34mm m3 screws for rollers
  • 10 m3 nuts
  • 4 m5 nuts with fixation
  • 2 m5 nuts without fixation
  • some kind of mount for your camera to the platform

I designed this for my gopro camera
I works great with action camera but will not hold anything heavy

Note that some parts require filing after printing to rotate freely and fit nicely

You can see some examples how it works here
