1/4 Scale racing / motorcycle helmet.

Racing Helmet 1/4 size. 2.5" = 155mm wide. My real helmet is 10" wide.

I looked all over the web for a realistic helmet. mazzitelli did a great job.

I like to design Formula 1 Racing Helmets in Photoshop.
Real mini souvenir racing helmets are expensive = $300+
I plan to print a few helmets and paint them like the ones my favorite drivers wear.

My 3D printer is too small to print a helmet.
The scale of the source model was super big, when I shrunk it to fit the max size on my 3D printer It would take 41 ! hours to print, so I scaled it as close to 1/4 actual size as I could. 2.5" = 115 mm wide.

Next I hollowed out the inside of the helmet to make it more accurate and to save filament.
The original model was a solid ball of plastic inside.

Print it upside down to use less filament.
