Bruder Telehandler boom elevation twist knob repair
If your children are like mine (and so many I've seen on eBay), the little twist handle on the back of your Bruder telehandler will be snapped off.
So I drew up a (very) basic twist knob to replace it!
This feels much nicer to twist as well that the original little handle/arm.
I went through a couple iterations, and this one is "good enough". there is a slight clash against the right hand part, which could be easily trimmed or edited out.
And I know there's a breakthrough between on the edge, just a result of how I set this up the I couldn't be bothered to spend time to remove.
Installation;
This just slips over the remaining nub, you might need to trim some of the tip corners slightly for a good centralised fit, but otherwise plug and play. I used Araldite rapid to glue it.
Note: be careful not to push the knob too far onto the remaining nub when gluing it in place - internal cavity can be too deep.
I printed this on an Ender V2 Neo, 0.2mm, 3 walls, 20% infill, just beefed up a little over standard to hopefully resist small children.
No supports needed.
I've also included the original Creo .prt if anyone wants to play around/modify/tweak.
No restrictions on re-use; Mod it, sell it (prints, not the original file), whatever, just hopefully save a few toys from the scrap heap!
