Summary

Due to wear and tear from regular use, the inside of my Puma shoes started damaging the insoles. To solve this issue, I designed a protective insert that fits directly over the worn area. By placing the insole on top of this insert, I was able to prevent further damage and extend the life of the insole.

It has a thickness of 1mm and was 3D printed using PLA. I barely felt it under the sole, but if you do, the thickness can easily be reduced.
