Craftsman V20 8-inch Hedge Trimmer Shim Plate To Reduce Slop (CMCSS800)

The Craftsman V20 hedge trimmer's (CMCSS800) 8-inch attachment has a tendency to flop/rattle around due to poor tolerance of the quick change mechanism, and this shim plate improves that tolerance. This shim plate stacks between the 8-inch cutter attachment and outer cover plate to reduce overall slop in the cutter head when using the tool, for a better overall feel.

This plate is 1mm thick. The STL file has a flat face that can be extruded outward or inward to increase/decrease the overall thickness of the plate in editing software.

During installation there should still be a small amount of play in the cutter attachment and the cover plate should not need any excessive force when reinstalling. I recommend using ABS if available, due to potential heat exposure over time of the gear assembly and exposure to grease. Recommend 0% infill for strength.
