Banana Plug Breakout Box
This is a box for breaking out 22 wires (11 pairs) into a set of banana plugs. The box has plenty of room inside and an access hole on one side. It's designed for using wires up to about 18 or 20 gauge in size, before it gets too crowded. Smaller wires will obviously fit easier.
The panel holes for the banana plug receptors (jacks) are specially designed flatten circles (similar to ovals) to fit standard banana plug jacks such as the "JOHNSON RED BANANA JACK 108-0902-001", or those of many other manufacturers. These oval holes make it far easier to nicely align the underside solder contacts, as well as facilitate in holding the jacks in place as the nuts are tightened with a deep socket wrench set, or other tool.
The lid can be glued in place to the lower base, or alternately held with elastics or zip ties, if later access to the wiring is desired.
Enjoy!
