Jaw Gripper - SG90 S Servo
This is a modified version of a model originally created by @papabravo . The original design was made for a Tower Pro MG 996R servo, but I remixed it to fit a SG90S instead. It's smaller, has metal gears and good torque — with this gripper, I was able to hold objects up to 300g.
I did this review using Tinkercad, so don't mind my lack of subtlety.
it requires:
1 SG90S Servo
The screws that come with the servo
M3x10mm Screws (4 pcs)
M3 nuts (4 pcs)
Printer: Biqu B1
Resolution: 0,2
Infil: 50%
tip: I had overheating issues when using the servo to hold something. The motor would keep trying to reach the target angle, even when the gripper was already closed, causing it to overheat and draw too much current. To solve this in Arduino (ESP32, infact), I used "servo.detach()" . After sending the position command, I wait about 500ms, and then detach the servo to stop it from forcing the motor too much.
