Garmin InReach Messenger Case - Easy Print Strap Mount Remixes
This is my second remix of the excellent 1/4-20 mount TPU case design for a Garmin inReach Messenger, by sadrummer06.
User AndrewGuide reached out to me and asked for a redesign of my first remix that was more suited for mounting to a frame, using Voile/Austere straps (nylon/silicone straps ranging from 1/2" wide to 1" wide), similar to the new Garmin MTB Edge frame mount.
Refer to my first remix for material/print setting recommendations.
I came up with three options for mounting the InReach Messenger to a frame with a strap, with both variants posted in the files here.
Version 1 is a taller remix that has a horizontal hole in the case, below the Garmin unit. This is a less-secure mount that allows for easier removal of the Garmin unit.
Version 2 is a slightly less tall remix that has tabs on the sides with holes to allow a strap to wrap around the Garmin unit and the entire case for a more secure fit. This version (and version 2.1) requires removal of the entire case and unit from whatever it is strapped to, prior to being able to separate the Garmin unit from the case. I recommend this version if you need strap mounting and want the Garmin unit to be further away from the object compared to Version 2.1.
Version 2.1 is a remix like version 2, but is the lowest profile overall (the exact same height as the original case/original remix). Use this to bring the Garmin unit as close to the object as possible.
