Slide box with inner pocket

I intend to use this when I have to send glass slides to other pathologists for consultation, so I redesigned the box and included an inner pocket for a note so that it is stored securely within the box. For that matter, the lid has to be higher than a normal model and might cause some noise as the glass slides can be rattling for a bit.
The inner pocket is printed separately and glued inside after finishing. Hot glue is perfect for the job.
The slide dividers are shaped in semicircles, as I found that it is easier to put the slide inside the socket compared to rectangular shapes.
There are 2 options: the 20-socket and 18-socket models
The 18-socket model has more space between the sockets, so that you don't have to “aim” the slide to fit into the socket as when the space is narrow. But it rattles more, LOL.
You can add the pattern on the lid as shown in the picture. There are 2 ways to do this:
- Make a 1-layer thick line and boolean the line out of the lid model.
- Make another piece of the pattern in a very thin rectangular shape, and glue it to the lid.
No support is required, except for the base piece (under the front lock).
A perfect gift for your pathologist friend!
