Membrane Tensioner
This project provides a 3D-printable membrane tensioner designed to maintain constant tension on a membrane, preventing tearing due to shrinkage (e.g., from temperature changes or solvent evaporation). The design incorporates an active tensioning mechanism using elastic bands.
Key Components:
-Main Ring: The central circular component featuring six through-holes for the pistons.
-Pistons with Integrated Clamp: Six sliding pistons, each with a pre-integrated lower clamp jaw.
-Clamp Top Jaw: The upper component of the clamp, designed to secure the membrane against the piston's clamp.
-Outer Elastic Mount: Twelve external components (six upper, six lower) mounted around the Main Ring. These mounts provide attachment points for elastic bands, pulling the pistons outwards and applying tension to the membrane.
All bolt and nut holes are designed for M3 hardware.
