Vevor Drill Sharpener Lid Spacer Insert / Collet Storage Retainer
Have you got a Vevor Drill Bit Sharpener Model MR-13A or MR-13B?
Well, if you have the latest orange-coloured model with the squared off collet compartment lid, you will already know that the lid does not retain the collets or the Allen keys when the lid is closed, allowing them to fall out of position quite easily even with the lid fully shut.
Worse, there is no latch to even hold the lid shut, so if you transport the machine you will absolutely be hunting about for lost collets and Allen keys.
So, | designed this insert for the collet compartment cover. The insert prevents the collets and Allen keys from falling out of position with the lid shut, and the 10mm x 2mm magnets help to hold the lid shut to some degree. Not a positive latch but better than nothing and it requires no drilling to the machine.
The insert is designed to accept four 10mm x 2mm round magnets, to be superglued in place.
Provision is also made for three Voron-style 3mm Heatset Threaded Inserts so as to allow secure fastening to the lid with 3mm x 6mm bolts.
The insert can be mounted in one of three ways:
1- just place the insert in over the collets, and do not attach it to the lid at all.
2- Adhere the insert to the inside of the lid with either double-sided tape or thick glue
3- Drill three 3.5mm holes in the lid to correspond with the three Heatset inserts, and bolt it to the lid. The holes are spaced 66mm apart.
The insert is pre-oriented for printing without supports. As this is to be attached to a machine tool, a chemical, oil and heat-resistant filament is best used.

Three Voron-style 3mm threaded brass inserts (Heat set with soldering iron) and three button-head 3mm x 6mm bolts
