Hopefully, this way of securing it will be a lot stronger, as the original model that I'm remixing was flimsy and broke on me. I noticed on the original Holster model, there wasn't a pin for the locking mechanism, so I replaced it with a nut and bolt to secure the locking mechanism to the main part of the Holster. To get the locking mechanism to hold the gun in place, I was able to steal my sister's Hairbands from when she was little. I made sure to use the small kind that would be used for pigtails, or maybe even the type that would be used for braces, normal rubber bands or hairties are too thick and long (that's what she said) for them to work.

I've gone through a couple of different prototypes, and this has by far been the best one in terms of strength! The holster itself is comfortable when being worn, and it doesn't poke into your side at all when sitting down or driving a truck. When being held upside down, the gun won't fall out, and so far, I haven't had any issues with the locking mechanism breaking. If I do, it's only a 15-minute print till I get another one lol. It's been great for practicing quick draws, but my only complaint so far is the struggle with the safety switch when reholstering it. In the future, I might create a slot or divot there to let the safety slide in without any resistance. A lot of the time I'll pull my gun out of the holster, and it's a gamble of whether my safety is on or of,f despite how I holstered it beforehand.
