Summary

Fed up with the tongue coming out and the Bowden tube coming adrift ruining prints I modified the extruder body to stop this happening.

Instructions

Parts needed;

Bowden End from Components RepRapPro shop with 5mm end thread.

Tapered Brass M5 nut from RepRapPro shop.

M3x14 skt hd bolt 2-off.

M3 Nut 2-off.

Extra length of 3mm PTFE sleeving.

Unscrew existing Bowden Start,place clamp over end of Bowden tube,then screw on Bowden End so that it is tight,ream inside of tube with a 2mm drill as original Ormerod instructions to achieve alignment,screw on tapered nut and firmly tighten.assemble onto extruder block and then insert filament manually to make sure of a smooth passage.

I have used this for several months with no problems and you do not need to unscrew the clamp when changing filament
