Cardiac Circulation

Students work in groups up to four holding the Thing and as the 4 mm ball bearing rolls around they must explain what is happening to oxygen and carbon dioxide and name each area the ball is in (vessel, chamber, etc.). A magnet should be glued outside the pathways to store the balls. The teacher can ask the students to describe blood pressure at these places. The most fun is challenging them to add more ball bearings without losing them. The first group to finish without losing all ten (or however many) wins. Let me know what you think.
