Clip-on phone ring light to Microscope light conversion adapter

This is a print designed to help convert a specific clip-on ring light for mobile phones into a ring light intended to attach to a reflected light microscope (e.g. for PCB or mineral examination)

The model of ring light chosen is great for this purpose because it has a built-in l-ion battery, 3 modes light warmth, good light diffusion, and variable brightness.

You'll need:

• The specific style of clip-on light as shown in photos (I got mine from Aliexpress)
• 3x Nylon screws (10-25mm in length, depending on the diameter of your microscope)
• An M3 tap to match the nylon screws.

1. The metal pins, springs, plastic clip and rubber pads are removed from the clip-on light (I used a center-punch to help remove the pins).
2. The pins are used to attach the 3d printed part to the ring which should fit snugly onto it.
   The 3 holes around the 3d print are tapped with an M3 tap and then the 3 nylon screws of your chosen length are screwed into them.

You can now fasten the light around your microscope.
