Summary

Pan Attachment for a PearStone VT-2100 fluid head tripod.

For now it uses a 120v Motor from Jameco.

Uses all 8-32 Hardware

Uses an O-Ring from ACE hardware for the belt.

Two pulley sizes are supplied for two speeds.

Instructions

This attachment is designed to clamp onto the height adjustment gear of the tripod.

I used this motor for the prototype.

ATTACHING THE CLAMPS

The two parts attach by using 8-32 Hardware with the hex head of the bolt encapsulated inside the large clamp.

Use an 8/32 Nut encapsulated in the knob I have supplied to tighten down the clamps. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN

Refer to the renders to understand the encapsulated head along with the keyway that slides onto the neck of the tripod.

PULLEYS

The motor pulleys are press on.

To install the fluid head pulley, remove the pan friction T-Handle, install pulley. Reinstall T-Handle.

MOTOR MOUNTING

Use .75" 8-32 hardware with a nut encapsulated into the hex nut slot.

BELT

I used a 3.5" x 3/16" belt. Do not use a larger belt thickness that this without redesigning the pulleys.

Its pretty easy to pull the belt over the pulleys so I just left the motor bolted down when I installed the belt.
