Wera Tool-Check PLUS Locking Mechanism
Maybe this is still relevant for some people. As far as i know the version of the Wera-Tool Check PLUS doesn't comes anymore with a Locking mechanism for the bits.
A co-worker borrowed my Wera Toolkit and couldn't figure out how to open the lock to get to the bits, so he forcefully opened it and broke the little pin on the lock.
So i don't want to let my bits exposed and maybe lose them i had to look for spare parts. Unfortunately of course) there are non. So logging in to my Tinkercad Account i designed my own lock. Luckily it has a simple geometry. And here we got it, a cheap and simple replacement for a lock, destroyed by co-workers.
And as far as i'm concerned, if i have a problem, someone else maybe face it too. Therefore, here is the self printed Wera-Tool Check PLUS Locking Mechanism.
I printed it with PLA in lack of other materials, but it still works fine so far. Recommend PETG or even PETG+ tho.
100% infill, 4 walls, 0,12mm layer height.
Print in a lying position, supports highly recommended, brim optional
To remove the Lock, use a thin screwdriver and latch the locking plate with slight force out. But be careful, there's a spring that inside that easily could get lost!
