11th's Sonic screwdriver. self opening prongs and self retained slide with magnets

This project is very much a work in progress which I do plan to improve in the future :)

I loved the base model redrawn by Ellindsey when combined with some of the detail improvements of IIIX_Nexus_XIII; However one of the gripes with the model was the need for a rubber band to help hold it up when in the slid up position or keep it locked at the bottom. Though a Small change to the slide to allow for 4mmx2mm magnets to be placed to keep the slide from falling.

I have also included a modified core which can allow for a full flick open without the worry of the slide flinging off from the force. While the magnets should be enough for a light flick to open, like the doctor does, I added this for those who may use a little too much strength or fear it will fly off. Though worse in design by cutting the tip from the stem so the new slide can be inserted, once put together It should improve the playability of the prop itself.

I have also made a torsion spring mod for the prongs but due to how annoying it is to put together and the fact I have forgotten the measurements of the torsion springs I used, I have chosen to include them anyway for the torsion springs specified :0.3 mm thickness, 4 mm outer diameter , 6 laps, and 60+ degrees (I used 60 degrees in the shown picture but I am certain angles greater than 60 are fine if you already have them lying around)

I have also quickly thrown in a cap that is compatible with a USB C port for those who wished to add a LIPO battery to the project as I did.

If someone wants the entire changes I have made including the fittings for the monetary button shown in the picture above (which was accurate to on screen props) I may add them in the future.
