Papin-Rouilly Gyroptère (Monocopter) "Maple Seed" aircraft
I've came across this crazy aircraft that was design back in 1910-1913 of some French guys named Alphonse Papin and Didier Rouilly who thought of an idea of a hovering aircraft inspired by nature, the "Maple Seed" where it falls in a propeller like manner slowly to the ground. After a search for this model online I couldn't find one, so as usual I decided to model it on fusion 360 myself, it was slightly complex based off the leaf blower/turbo charger like shape of the engine housing, but I managed it. So, this was a few years ago I did this, and it has been sitting on my display shelf all that time (along with other projects) I decided to upload this one. This has 14 parts and it articulates by spinning with smaller passive wheel radially spread around the enteral cockpit (the cockpit would've been stationary) and the other details are post processed, as in I painted it and super glued the wing and the black threads as cables on the wing, so you'll either have to get black string, or if have just white string then paint it black (like I did to mine) or you could try and print the strings, whatever the method it's you choice.
It should be easy to assemble, just remember you have to glue the wing to the cockpit, it doesn't have to be perfect.
The last image is how I lay them out on my printer, orientation is correct.
