Bambu Lab Hotend Mount for the Infimech TX

A friend tried this mount and he mentioned that the fan is tight with the Stock Fan Shroud. I don't use that myself becuase I use my CPAP mod as shown in the pictuer. I'll get around to making a 2nd mount with the hotend and fan facing the front like the Stock TX hotend. I won't get around to doing that until after Christmas.
I'm not sure what size screws Bambu Lab uses to mount the hotend. But on the MAKO I used M3's. I do see on another hotend it says M2.5 should be used. I'll get around to making M2.5 versions also. If someone needs it before I get around to it, leave a comment and I'll do it sooner.

I got tired of bent heat breaks with my stock Infimech TX hotend and hated changing hotends when I wanted to use a different size nozzle. It's a real pain in the ass to get the hotend wires into the wire terminals tha face the back of the printer. I had no real other issue with it but that. I decided to make a mount for a Slice Engineering MAKO hotend (with X1/XC1 electronics.) that is made for Bambu Lab printers.
Now, I can change my nozzle with 1 hand and I don't have to change hoteneds, and I don't have to worry about trashing my hotend any more !!! This obviously can be used for other hotends like the Biqu Panda Revo etc. I may try one of those to see which I like better!
It's a super simple mod.
What is needed for this mod:
1 - Slice Engineering MAKO hotend with X1/X1C electronics.
2 - M3 15mm screws
2 - M3 Nuts
1 - 24v 2510 fan (the stock fan is 5v)
I was originally going to just clip the connectors off and plug them into the wire terminals like the stock hotend does, but I decided to make some pigtails with 28 AWG wire and a JST GH connector for the thermistor and 20 AWG wire and a JST XH connector for the Hotend heater so I could just plug in the hotend. It's much easier than trying to put the wires into the wire terminals due to them facing the back of the printer.
So, you can do this optionally:
For the Thermistor:
JST GH connector
28 AWG wire
For the Hotend Heater:
JST XH connector
20 AWG wire
SETTINGS:
You need to make 1 change.
In your printer.cfg file change sensor_type so it's like this:
sensor_type: ATC Semitec 104NT-4-R025H42G
ASSEMBLY:
- Press the M3 nuts into place on the mount.
- Install the mount onto the X gantry.
- Screw the hotend onto the mount.
- Connet the wires for the thermistor and heater.
That's it !
