Xsg 10mm marker holder with magnetic openings for 18-3 magnets!
so, as a fun project i bought some cheap permanent pens for my welding class and thought hey the problem with the last bunch of pens is kids kept leaving them without caps so i made the models above, they hold the pens well and can be used with the pens upside down so to make Shure that the pens have them on firmly as so they won't fall off.
how to use
1 print your plate and one of the two marker holders
2 inert magnets
3 enjoy
tips for slicing and printing
when making the hang down model it does not have very much material on the plate so use rafts, so it does not dislodge from the plate
the plate does not work well when placed on its sides and is not optimized for it at all instead place it on the side with the t on the side to the plate as to require les supports speaking of supports on the plate it is not required but highly suggested that you print the side without the magnet holes with supports on the overhang that is not on the top of the model it will help with putting the holders into the plates
thank you for looking and or printing this took probably 25-30 prints to get right shout out to my welding teacher for giving me the inspiration to embark on this project it has brought me great joy and hopefully he likes this too
happy printing! :)
