Daily earring #60: Small combination lock / Enhanced Cryptex

This morning I saw http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7233 (inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4414) and within an hour (while watching TV) I made this small combination lock as AE's daily earring number sixtey (yey!).

This simplified little combination lock is just a bit taller then one centimeter and could probably be made even smaller.

It actually worked on the first print, just had to reprint for some cosmetics reasonst and longer lock bars to lessen the play.

This one opens with A / E and has a few letters on each ring.

Excuse the bad pictures, I had to use the flash and then harsh gamma correction so the details show- resulting in an odd look.

IMPORTAINT!
Printed on a pp3dp up + on 0.2mm/fine; You will need angled tweezers to clean out some of the support, but it was easier then I thought.

The bars on the innter tubus are just a bit too long, you may want to sand them, clip them, cut them etc.
CHANGES:
On the new version I alreaddy made them 0.3mm shorter- but not thiner.
Made the top disc flat for easier holding while turning, but the faces are not closed properly.
