Franklin / Koch / Hobart Metal Wall Cabinet Shelf Support Clip – 3D Printable Replacement
I have a Koch / Hobart (Franklin Greatmeet–style) metal wall cabinet in my garage and lost one of the original metal shelf clips that supports the shelf.
I took several photos of an existing clip next to a ruler and calipers, then used Bambu MakerLab and some manual cleanup to recreate a printable STL. The original metal clip is stamped steel, so a plastic replacement will not be as strong — but this is far better than having no clip at all and works well when printed correctly.
Printing recommendations:
- Material: PETG (PLA may creep or soften in a warm garage)
- Infill: 100%
- Walls: 6–8 wall loops
- Top/Bottom layers: 10–12
Orientation: print flat
With these settings, the clip can handle a reasonable amount of weight. I recommend placing heavier items on the corners of the shelf that still use the original metal clips, and lighter items on the corner using this printed replacement.
Hopefully this helps someone else who lost a clip and doesn’t want to replace an entire cabinet over a tiny missing part.
FYI if you really need an original metal version, this is the only site I've found it on: https://www.lionsdeal.com/fmp-135-1247.html
