Canon R6 III camera handle bracket

This handle has been specifically designed for the Canon R6 III camera but I suspect it will fit many Canon and other cameras. Open SCAD files are provided for anyone wishing to customise the design for their camera.

There are two distinct parts to the bracket.
The handle or bracket itself (Cambrac6.stl) and short stand (Bracstand.stl) that helps connects the top of the handle with the LHS camera strap loop. A 40 odd mm M6 bolt is used to attach the handle to the strap handle loop on the LHS of the camera. The hex head of the bolt is thinned down (I used a metal lathe but it could just be sanded down) enough so that the edge of the hex head closely slides through the metal strap handle loop . Then using a hack saw cut a shallow slot <1mm in the under side of the hex head so that the cut slot engages with the upper inside of the strap handle loop. Then the brac stand piece (Bracstand.stl) is slid over the bolt and through the slot in the top of the bracket handle. An M6 nut is then threaded onto the M6 thread poking through the slot in the top handle and locked in place. My brac stand piece came out too short so I just made up the space with a washer but the stand could be lengthen even in just the printer software to make up the difference. BTW I used a Stainless Steel bolt as it will not rust.

Instead of an M6 nut I made up a Knurled knob with an M6 thermally inserted threaded brass insert. if anyone wants the stl file and Scad code for this I am happy to provide it.

This handle is really strong and I trust it even when using a heavy ,long. lens on the camera
