Automated Ossila Four-Point Probe Mount for Thorlabs KVS30/M Motorized Stage
This is a custom-designed mount for the measuring head of an Ossila Four-Point Probe System. I developed this part to enable fully automated conductivity measurements in my research lab.
How It Works: This mount securely attaches the Ossila probe head to a Thorlabs KVS30/M Motorized Vertical Stage. The design features precisely aligned holes for mounting directly to the stage using screws.
Automation Workflow: By integrating this mount with the motorized stage, I can now automate the measurement process. I place a sample on the stage, and a custom Python script controls the stage's vertical movement. The script is calibrated to bring the sample into precise contact with the probe's pins at a desired height, after which it triggers the Ossila system to collect data. This setup significantly improves the consistency and efficiency of our measurements.
Print Settings: Based on the slicing preview, this part is designed to be printed on its side without the need for supports. The orientation shown in the slicer software is recommended for a clean and functional print.
