Dreikantschlüssel

Enables you to turn a 19mm triangular lock.

I developed this key from scratch. However, I was inspired by this triangular key model: https://thingiverse.com/thing:5354594

In case of a filament printer, my printing recommendation is to use

  • filament with better mechanical strength, such as PETG, ABS, ASA, etc.
  • 5 or more perimeter lines
  • Gyroid infill pattern with 50% infill
  • 15% or more infill overlap

If you are unsure about the accuracy of your printer's prints, enlarge the model by 1–2% before slicing. This would also give the key some leeway.

Sometimes, a little more leverage is needed, which is why I designed the version with the long handle. To increase stability and transfer the leverage, I also added a cavity into which a 5 mm diameter screw can be placed.

Use the .scad file to adjust the size of the key to match the size of the triangle you want to turn. You can also use it to set the diameter of the cavity to a different screw size.
