Somewhat Universal Spray Can Nozzle Cap Cover
This is a remix from another platform posted for reach/convenience
Refer to original model for licensing: https://www.printables.com/model/155293-spray-can-nozzle-protector
This is a quick remix to close off the original model for potential added protection.
Designed to interface with the inner diameter of most standard aerosol valves.
May not cover every nozzle cap type and this is where remixing further may be warranted. If the full cover model doesn't work, try the reduced model. If fitment is still weird, you can remove the can's nozzle cap if possible and store it somewhere. These covers are to aid in preventing anything from physically pushing the nozzle or stem.
The models fit into the "good enough" quality category :P
Make sure they are flipped on the flat side of your slicer bed and print with whatever supports you deem appropriate/minimal (light organic supports work well for the reduced model)
It isn't necessary to use supports on "spray-can-nozzle-cover.stl"
For "spray-can-nozzle-cover.stl" venting, feel free to turn the top and bottom solid layers layers to zero (printer settings> layers and perimeters) in your slicer settings.
Use 50% infill (assuming grid infill) or something similar to adjust cap air gaps.
Print at whatever resolution you like, not a terribly detailed shape. Save the filament.
PLA should work fine. If you store your cans somewhere hotter (careful with pressurized cans + extreme temps) then maybe try PETG.
Whatever you go with, not much % of infill really needed. You can print it at 0% infill. Save the filament.
Like this if the original model maker and I saved your spray can/nozzles some damage/accidental sprays!
