2mL Cryotube Cold Box

Designed to hold 5x glycerol stocks in cryotubes to allow work without thawing. Tube dimensions are 11mm diameter and sit 30mL into the box, with room for the caps to sit under the lid for additional insulation.

Print the cryobox top at 100% infill and the bottom at 15% infill. Ensure they nest into each other neatly and that tubes fit into their slots. I coated the inside surfaces of mine with silicone sealant to make it more water-tight. Fill the bottom box with jelly from a freezer cold pack, or with a low-freezing-point alcohol before assembling the halves and supergluing together to seal tightly. Print the lid and store in the freezer.
