Handwheel 180mm (and 150mm)
This handwheel was designed specifically for my Robland K31 combination machine, but it can be adapted for many other woodworking machines that use a similar shaft and manual adjustment wheel.
The wheel mounts on a tapered axle: 16 mm down to 10 mm over a length of 20 mm. This taper gives a solid, self-centering fit without requiring a metal insert, which was intentional in my case since these wheels are used only for height and position adjustments, not for transmitting high torque.
There is a 10 mm through-hole for a revolving handle or fixed handle, depending on your preference. I printed and use these wheels in PETG, face-up on the bed, and they have proven more than sufficient for planer, spindle moulder, and mortiser height adjustments.
This model was made as a functional replacement for original machinist-style wheels that are difficult or impossible to source today. It favors simplicity, strength, and good ergonomics over decorative detail.
Feel free to modify dimensions, add inserts, or adjust tolerances to suit your own machine. If you’re working on a Robland K31 or a similar European combination machine, this should get you very close with minimal changes.
EDIT: added a 150 mm version also :)
