Tamiya TT-02 Lipo Battery Post Holder
I have a Tamiya TT-02 radio controlled car. I could not fit a Lipo battery in it, because the Tamiya-suppled battery strap fouled on the Lipo battery wires. I'd prefer not to be squishing or forcing Lipo battery wires if I can help it. So I designed this part. It fits into the TT-02 chassis base plate, and has a hole into which the original battery post can slot. So it allows me to move the battery post 10mm or so towards the centre of the chassis, which then stops the Tamiya battery strap fouling on the Lipo wires. This part is an intentionally tight fit into the chassis, and the original Tamiya battery post is an intentionally tight fit into this part. Hence no glue or screws required.
Go careful with Lipos or any other batteries. It's up to you to decide whether this part is sufficiently strong and well-designed to retain your battery. Don't blame me if it fails and your battery escapes :-)
