In Star Wars Legends, Roon is a planet located in the nearly impenetrable Cloak of the Sith. Known for its Roonstones, the planet is constantly sought after by treasure hunters . Governor Koong made an attempt for control of the entire planet, backed by the Empire, though he was thwarted in large part due to the actions of Mungo Baobob.

The Roon Drone Fighter is a droid starfighter used as part of Koong's forces. Not much is known about this fighter, though it appears the wings articulate up and down similar to a butterfly's.
