3.5" HDD Caddy Replacement for HP Z2 SFF G5 Workstations

I purchased some refurbished HP Z2 SFF G5 Workstations for my company and planned on adding a 3.5" hard drive. Unfortunately when I opened the chassis I discovered the hard drive caddy was not included.

I was unable to find a replacement part online to purchase but did find a YouTube video of someone installing a hard drive with the caddy which gave me a point of reference. I designed a simple caddy that both protects the hard drive and keeps it from sliding around in the chassis.

Make sure to use a heat resistant plastic such as PETG or ABS. I used a 20% infill and no supports.

Installation

1. Attach hard drive to the caddy with 4 standard hard drive screws (#6-32).
2. Connect the SATA cable and power.
3. Align the channels on the outside walls of the caddy to the 4 studs in the drive cage and slide the caddy down until it stops.
