Possibly the best ScrewDriver ever designed without power or ratchet
I haven't found any screw drivers I really liked, so I made one that I could add the features I wanted and got rid of the features I didn't like.
There are parts that I like and don't like about Wera, Milwaukee, Kline, LTT, and several lesser known screw driver name brands. (I still like those brands, just not the perfect screw drivers)
So there is the main body, the screw, and the cap.
The smaller side of the screw goes into the cap.
The longer side goes into the body.
Most up to date model is the V2 screw, V4 body, and V4.1 Cap.
Holds 16 regular bits or 8 double sized bits.
Features a spinning top when in use.
Storage for an extension.
Small compact size
Visible bits without opening the storage to see what you have.
Compatibility with normal bits.
It can be printed with fuzzy skin to be more grippy and rugged looking.
My 2nd best model that I have used for many months at this point was V2 screw, V2 body, and V2 cap.
I know it can handle a lot of torque without breaking.
It can still hold 12 regular bits.
I'm not sure why I made it a little long. V3 Body holds 2 standard bits without much wiggle room
Designed parts include:
V1 Body (Omitted) - too over engineered and didn't help, hurt the hand.
V2 Body - Long for no reason, 12 bit holder
V3 Body - 12 bit holder
V4 body - 16 bit holder and mini size
V1 Screw (Omitted)- Never a thing, it was built into the cap originally
V2 screw - Hasn't bee an issue since first design
V1 Cap (Omitted)- Issues with printing in any orientation because of the screw built in
V2 Cap - It's good and the right size for V1, 2, and 3
V4 Cap (Omitted) - Didn't let the screw go in far enough and allowed way too much play when assembled.
V4.1 Cap - Good for V4 size
Assembly may be aided by a 1/4 inch allen wrench. although anything in the field troubleshooting should be accomplishable using just the extensions.
Only time I have had anything break was the screw part after falling off the top of a 10ft ladder.
I had been screwing the screw part to the cap but later revisions have stuck in the cap very well for me and I have't needed to use glue.
This has been a labor of love and I shouldn't give it away for free, but I don't pay for designs and my philosophy is they should be free, (not judging those who do charge, you do you) so now the world has access to my creation.
Let me know any design tweaks or features you like/don't like. I want to make the design absolutely as perfect as I can whether its for me or you.
