Chain Link Fence Rail Mount

UPDATE: 5/7/2026
-The set screws do not work as expected. The set screws end up pushing the sides of the bracket away from the fence where the only point of contact is the two set screws. This would work if the plastic was strong enough to push back against that force but it' is not; further tightening would just result in snapping the plastic. In my testing the mount works better just allowing as much plastic to contact and hold the rail as possible.
-I am going to work on a design that clamps or pulls the plastic onto the rail as an alterative.
-Without the set screws I have had 100% success rate mounting Eero Routers onto the top rail of baseball/softball fences that get banged into by balls and players. Mounting a safety wire via carabiner to one of the open holes gives me piece of mind in the event of future failure.
