SecureIt Safe Pistol Hanger

Pistol holder base for SecureIt style louvered wall safes.

Optimized for printing with no supports needed; it should be printed on its side, eliminating the need for supports while optimizing the strength of the layer lines.

Designed to accomodate a 0.25" brass rod, cut to length for your needs. Easiest way to insert the brass rod is to mount it in a drill, heat up the end with a torch/heat gun/soldering iron, then rotate it as you press it in - this effectively bonds it to the part, further increasing strength & ensuring it doesn't come out! I then cover the rod with heat shrink for a bit of extra barrel protection.

For strength, print with PETG; I used a 0.6mm nozzle with 3 walls. 20% cubic infill is plenty - the walls provide the primary strength.

I've tested it with pistols up to 45oz in weight with no appreciable sag.
